Hi everyone,
We want to share an important update regarding CivixM.
For the time being, we have decided to pause the development of CivixM.
CivixM was an ambitious project, but working around the protections, limitations, and technical complexity of GTA V has proven to be much more difficult than expected. Rather than continuing to spend a large amount of time trying to force the project forward, we think it makes more sense to put CivixM aside for now and focus our efforts on projects where we can make more meaningful progress.
This does not mean CivixM is permanently cancelled.
We still believe in the idea behind CivixM, and we would like to return to it in the future. Our long-term objective is to revisit the project around GTA VI, approach it properly from the beginning, and hopefully be among the first teams to make a project like CivixM possible on the next generation of GTA.
Until there is more information about GTA VI on PC, CivixM will remain on hold for an indefinite period.
What are we working on instead?
The team is not stopping development. We are simply redirecting our time toward other projects.
CraftM is currently in active development. It is our Minecraft-related project, and it is one of the projects we will be focusing on moving forward. We have a lot of ideas for it, and more information will be shared as development progresses.
We are also working on VaultM, a project based around Fallout 4. VaultM is another opportunity for us to experiment, build new systems, and continue developing the ideas and technology that we want to bring across our projects.
Alongside CraftM and VaultM, we also have other projects and experiments planned. We would rather take the time to build things properly than announce too much before they are ready.
Everything we learn from these projects will also help us improve our tools, our infrastructure, and potentially the future of CivixM itself.
Thank you to everyone who followed CivixM, tested it, supported the project, gave feedback, or simply showed interest in what we were trying to build.
CivixM is not dead. It is simply on pause until the right opportunity comes.
For now, our focus moves to CraftM, VaultM, and what comes next.
